"Kalp hastaları grip ve zatürre aşılarını aksatmamalı"

Trakya Üniversitesi (TÜ) Tıp Fakültesi Kardiyoloji Ana Bilim Dalı Başkanı Doç. Dr. Servet Altay, kalp hastalarına grip ve zatürre aşılarını aksatmadan yaptırmaları tavsiyesinde bulundu.

Kovid-19 salgını nedeniyle geçen yıllarda yoğun şekilde kullanılan maskelerin, salgının hızının düşmesiyle tercih edilmediğini aktaran Altay, "Okulların açılmasıyla toplumsal hareketlilik arttı, aynı zamanda havaların serinlemesiyle enfeksiyon hastalıkları artıyor. Bu sene geçen yıla nazaran maske kullanımının da azalmasıyla gribal ve enfektif hastalıkların arttığını görüyoruz." diye konuştu.

Altay, gribal enfeksiyonların sağlıklı bireylerde önemli sağlık sorunlarına yol açmadığını ancak kalp yetersizliği, diyabet ve hipertansiyon gibi risk faktörü olan gruplarda ciddi probleme neden olduğuna dikkati çekti.

Özellikle kalp hastalarının bu dönemlerde kendilerini korumaları ve aşılarını olması gerektiğini dile getiren Altay, şunları kaydetti:

"En önemlisi kalp hastalığı olan hastalarımıza bu dönemlerde hem grip aşısını hem de zatürre aşısını öneriyoruz. Aynı zamanda koronavirüs aşılarını olmadılarsa bu aşılarını da aksatmadan yaptırmalarını öneriyoruz. Grip aşısı her yıl yapılıyor zaten. Sağlık Bakanlığı da tanımladı ve eczanelerde bulunuyor. Zatürre aşısı da 5 yılda bir yapılıyor. Çünkü akciğerde enfeksiyonu, pnömokok dediğimiz bakteriler yapıyor. Koronavirüs, grip ya da kronik bir hastalık geçirdiğimizde en çok zatürreye yakalanıyoruz. Zatürre geçirildiğinde hastanede yatış ve ölüm oranları çok artıyor. Bu açıdan zatürre aşısını önemsiyoruz."

Altay, bazı hastaların aşılara karşı önyargılı davranabildiğini ifade etti.

Aşıların hastaneye yatışları azaltarak ölüm oranlarını ciddi derecede azalttığını belirten Altay, şu görüşleri aktardı:

"Hastalarımızda bazen 'Ben aşı oldum daha ağır geçirdim.' yönünde bir söylem olabiliyor. Grip aşıları her yıl farklı içeriklerden oluşuyor. Grip hastalığına neden olan virüs sayısı 70'in üzerindedir. Her yıl en ölümcül, en ağır atlatılanlar Dünya Sağlık Örgütü tarafından belirleniyor ve bunlar vuruluyor. Grip aşısı olduğunuz zaman tamamen grip engellenmiyor ama gribe yakalandığınızda hafif geçirilmesi sağlanıyor. Riskli grupta bulunan hastalar, grip ve zatürre aşılarını olduklarında hastaneye yatış ve ölüm oranları, aşı olmayanlara göre çok daha düşük oluyor."
